Onboarding

Onboarding Procedures

After being hired by ASU you will login to your Workday account and must complete a series of required steps to maintain your employment. Two critical steps include:

  1. Completion of Form I-9 work eligibility verification.

There are two steps to this process, outlined in your tasks in Workday. First, there is a link that you will complete with your information. Second, you will take your immigration documents to an appointment with an ASU certifier, and they will complete the employer portion. Both steps must be completed before this task is considered complete. You will need to complete this step for your first job with ASU or if there is a gap in employment with ASU. For example, if you have a job that ends in March and you get a new one in May, you would need to recomplete this step.
  2. Complete and maintain your Sprintax Calculus account

You will get a task to complete your Sprintax account. This is the system you will use to update your information, track your work authorization, maintain your Federal tax elections, receive Form 1042-S, if applicable, and determine your correct payroll taxation. Failure to complete this may result in your termination.
