Here, you’ll find guidance on verifying student employment eligibility, understanding immigration-related work restrictions, and understanding the necessary hiring steps to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
Hiring and hosting F-1 and J-1 students
International students are eligible for work done and paid by Arizona State University and for work done and paid by Aramark Campus Dining and Follett Bookstore.
This includes:
- Student Hourly positions, Research Assistant (RA), Graduate Student Assistant and Teaching Assistant (TA) positions for Arizona State University
- Staff or Faculty positions (cannot work more than the number of hours per week allowed)
- Student Stipend jobs (cannot work more than the number of hours per week allowed).

Note: International students are not eligible for Federal Work-Study positions.
